Reinforcing its position as a leading manufacturer specializing in technologically advanced hearing aids, Phonak Hearing Systems announced today it has received the Good Housekeeping Seal. The entire product line including, Claro™, the first digital hearing aid to analyze and adjust to the environment like the human ear, has earned the coveted Seal.

MDEA 2001 Winner

Claro wins the 2001 Medical Design Excellence Award. This competition is the premier awards program for the medical technology community, recognizing the many people behind the scenes, the engineers, scientists, and designers, who are responsible for the groundbreaking innovations that are changing the face of healthcare.

Popular Science – best of what’s new 2000

Claro listed "best what's new 2000". From the award text: "The new Claro is the only aid that discerns background noise from speech automatically, so that wearers don't have to re-tune the device each time they change environments (...) For even more discretion, the company offers the remote built into a regular-looking watch."

Ton Art 2000

In September 2000, Claro receives the German design award "Ton Art". As a result of a survey conducted by the special interest magazine Audio Infos, 44 percent of the experts out of the hearing aid professional business ranked Claro as the device with the most attractive design.

Ton Art 2000 states Claro as the behind-the-ear hearing computer with the best design.

Red Dot Award

Already in March 2000, Phonak GmbH, Stuttgart, wins in the "Design Innovation 2000" contest "Roter Punkt für hohe Designqualität" (Red Dot for High Design Quality). The Design Centre of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) awards its prize to the Claro behind-the-ear model with its SoundPilot remote control.
